He was five months old when we found him. Here's what happened next.
Hi Jordan,
Eight weeks ago, our team walked into a puppy mill two hours north of
here. The first thing we noticed was the quiet. There were dozens of
dogs in stacked wire cages, and hardly a bark between them.
Biscuit was in a cage near the back. He was about five months old,
underweight, and his paws were sore from standing on wire. When we
opened the door, he didn't run to us. He pressed himself into the
corner and watched.
Today, Biscuit is with a foster family. He's had his vaccinations,
he's put on weight, and last Tuesday he stood on grass for the very
first time. He sat down very carefully, as if he wasn't sure it was
allowed. Then he rolled in it.
Biscuit got his second chance because people like you gave. But there
are still dogs waiting in places like that barn, and we can only go
back for them if we can pay for what comes next: the vet checks, the
vaccinations and a quiet place to recover.
$50 helps give a rescued dog vaccinations and a safe place to
recover.
P.S. Want to help all year round? A monthly gift of
$15 helps cover regular check-ups for dogs in our care, and you can
